Key training features of the laboratory include

• “Solar Panels with Roof Slope” station, allowing students to study photovoltaic systems, install panels, analyze electricity production, and assess solar module efficiency.
• “Vacuum Tube Collector” Thermal Solar Trainer, enabling students to apply solar energy for water heating and compare the efficiency of various thermal systems.
• Comprehensive IT infrastructure, including Chromebooks, personal computers, interactive whiteboards, and multifunctional devices for both students and educators.

Advancing Green Energy Education

The new laboratory will help students design, install, and maintain energy-efficient systems, which are crucial for modern energy infrastructure.

By establishing such educational hubs, Kryvyi Rih is enhancing its capacity to train renewable energy professionals, creating new opportunities for young specialists and contributing to the sustainable development of the region.

Currently in 125 schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums work across the city 146 career guidance consultants. Through this training, educators gain new methods and knowledge to better support students in shaping their professional paths.

Thanks to the KRYTSIA: Support for Recovery of Kryvyi Rih Raion project, her school has received cutting-edge machinery for its vocational training workshop.

The institution actively collaborates with leading enterprises in the city, region, and beyond—key employers in need of skilled technical specialists. These companies provide students with hands-on internship opportunities and often become their first workplaces after graduation.

From an early age, her students not only master office programs like Word and PowerPoint but also get introduced to programming basics, 3D modeling, and cloud services. They work with tools like Canva, Tinkercad, and Micro:bit, developing critical thinking and technical skills that will benefit them in the future.

The project KRYTSIA: Support for Recovery of Kryvyi Rih Raion has helped modernize the learning process and expand students’ opportunities. Thanks to cooperation with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the school where Tetiana Vlasenko teaches received new equipment: 203 Chromebooks for fifth graders and children from disadvantaged backgrounds, 25 Chromebooks for teachers, four multifunctional devices, four interactive whiteboards, and two newly equipped computer labs.

These advancements have opened new horizons for students, making their educational journey more modern, technological, and exciting. STEM education is not just a trend—it’s a gateway for children to develop the skills they will need for the future!

Thanks to the project, the educational institution received cutting-edge equipment, including:

• A chamber laboratory furnace
• Welding machines DECA MMA DOMUS, iWave 230i
• Welding simulators
• A plasma cutting machine Powermax
• A laser welding machine with a cleaning system
• An ultrasonic flaw detector
• Grinding and gas-cutting machines
• Metal structures for welding work

Hands-on Learning and Career Prospects

Beyond technical skills, students will work on real production projects, enhancing their teamwork, leadership, and time management abilities, as well as gaining entrepreneurial experience.

The opening of this laboratory marks a significant step toward training highly skilled specialists for industrial sectors, contributing to the economic growth of the region.

By the end of 2025, four modern educational workshops will be established at vocational education institutions in the city, providing a foundation for integrating education with cutting-edge technologies.

What Does the Center Include?

The new training and practical center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and includes:

• A professional and technical training room
• A plasma metal cutting workshop
• A training and production workshop for manufacturing goods for businesses and the public

The center features innovative digital tools such as WeldConnect and Welducation Basic App, which automate the learning process, enhance student performance, and introduce modern training standards.

Promoting Technical Professions

Beyond training, the center will serve as a platform for:

• Open house events showcasing innovative equipment
• Masterclasses and career guidance activities for students
• STEM and STEAM projectsto spark youth interest in technical and engineering fields

The transformation of vocational education in Kryvyi Rih is being carried out with the support of the city government, the City Defense Council, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Luxembourg. The project aims to create a highly skilled workforce for advanced industries and integrate Kryvyi Rih into the global educational and economic landscape.
