An innovative scientific and practical center was launched at the Kryvyi Rih vocational school with the support of Luxembourg

On January 28, the first training and practical center was opened at the Kryvyi Rih Vocational Mining and Technological Lyceum as part of the international project KRYTSIA: Support for Recovery of Kryvyi Rih Raion.

The project is implemented by PROMAN in partnership with the Development Agency LuxDev (Luxembourg) and funded by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

By the end of 2025, four modern educational workshops will be established at vocational education institutions in the city, providing a foundation for integrating education with cutting-edge technologies.

What Does the Center Include?

The new training and practical center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and includes:

  • A professional and technical training room
  • A plasma metal cutting workshop
  • A training and production workshop for manufacturing goods for businesses and the public

The center features innovative digital tools such as WeldConnect and Welducation Basic App, which automate the learning process, enhance student performance, and introduce modern training standards.

Promoting Technical Professions

Beyond training, the center will serve as a platform for:

  • Open house events showcasing innovative equipment
  • Masterclasses and career guidance activities for students
  • STEM and STEAM projectsto spark youth interest in technical and engineering fields

The transformation of vocational education in Kryvyi Rih is being carried out with the support of the city government, the City Defense Council, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Luxembourg. The project aims to create a highly skilled workforce for advanced industries and integrate Kryvyi Rih into the global educational and economic landscape.

By developing vocational education infrastructure and programs, we contribute to the region’s human capital growth. This helps local businesses fill workforce gaps and provides residents with practical skills. The next phase is the opening of the ‘SmartEnergy Lab,’ specializing in renewable energy training.
